NJCASA Executive Director Selected to Serve on Incoming Gov. Phil Murphy’s Transition Team

Lawrenceville, N.J. – Patricia Teffenhart, executive director of the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NJCASA), was selected to serve on the transition team for incoming Governor Phil Murphy, providing expertise for human and children services.

“I am honored to serve with other esteemed colleagues as a part of Transition2018,” said Teffenhart. “New Jersey has a number of incredible challenges and opportunities ahead of us, in regards to sexual violence prevention and intervention.”

Teffenhart is a graduate of Douglass College, the women’s college of Rutgers University and began her career with the New Jersey Women and AIDS Network, where her work with New Jersey women living with HIV/AIDS strengthened her lifelong commitment to social change. Her professional career has spanned local community education efforts, national advocacy, and state-level coalition-building. Teffenhart has sat on numerous statewide task forces, including the New Jersey Task Force on Campus Sexual Assault.
