Vanessa Princivil

Program Manager

Vanessa is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who earned her Master of Arts in Clinal Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. In her counseling work, she uses an integrative approach, where she combines contemporary psychodynamic and mindfulness-based therapy practices. She believes that acknowledging our pasts and obtaining tools of mindful awareness can stabilize our present and empower us to build a better future. Prior to becoming a clinician, Vanessa worked as a volunteer coordinator, sexual assault prevention coordinator, and program coordinator in programs in NJ and DE.

Vanessa is passionate and committed to delivering trauma-informed and culturally appropriate mental health services to diverse and marginalized communities. She has worked with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking of color. She is devoted to the work of destigmatizing mental health in communities of color and creating safe spaces for marginalized individuals to start their healing journey. Vanessa believes that we all deserve to live life to be fullest, and we all have the capacity to evolve, if we are afforded an empathic, safe, and compassionate environment to do so.

Vanessa specializes in working with individuals who have experiences trauma, depression, and anxiety. She also specializes in providing services to individuals of color navigating their racial and ethnic identities and the impact of oppression on their mental health and wellness.
